Reminiscences make one feel so deliciously aged and sad

It seems my photograph has a slight reminiscence of Renoir's 'On the terrace' paining, 1879. In the backround, there are two men gone fishing, covered from the eye by leaves.

You have a thing for Japanese animations, don't you? =P Me, I am reminded of that scene in "The Rest is Silence" with "living things in the water*".

It depends how you see it. I was inspired by The Painted Veil by John Curran when I shot this.
Thank you!

What I love about this piece is how you kept the leafs sharp and detailed while the people in the boat are quite blurry. It makes for a nice effect in this picture. The color-combinations and the reflection of sunlight on the water are also very beautiful.

I think it's a wonderful piece! :)
