How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.

We are proud to display your work in our virtual art gallery!
I'm normally quite fond of square crops, but in this piece, it really doesn't make or break it so much. To be honest, at first, I didn't see the squareness, it seemed portrait more than anything due to the details, which is a nice illusion.
I also didn't notice the cigarette at first, but now that I do, I think some sort of smoke in the photo would add to the significance of the piece all together.
Over all, the entire photo is quite lovely. It's an interesting piece of something quite simple. The anonymity of the girl is quite appealing as well. Gorgeous work!
i don't like square crops, either, but i do my photography with feeling, and i felt that this should be like that. I guess someone can see it as an illusion, yes. well, about the smoke, i don't smoke. so that's why there is no smoke in the image
thank you so much for your nice comment!
I guess, now that I think about it, I do like square crops, but it has to fit the piece, because I've suggested it quite a few times on other pieces as well as my own
As for the smoke, you could have maybe just lit it? or used an in-scents to make the illusion? But regardless, even without, it's still lovely
and you're welcome
I hope you will agree!
